Job Description
Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to support a busy and well-established GP practice in Stoke On Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Nurse looking for flexible locum shifts with competitive hourly pay in a professional and friendly environment.
As a Locum Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for chronic disease management, immunisations, cervical cytology, wound care, and general health promotion. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
This role offers up to 4 days a week, and multiple locum nurses can be considered if required.
Hourly Rate:
£25 – £35 per hour (dependent on experience and skillset).
Job Requirements:
- Registered Practice Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a GP practice or primary care setting.
- Proficiency in chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension).
- Experience with childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations, cervical screening, and wound care.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience using EMIS, SystmOne, or Vision (training can be provided if needed).
- Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one).
Working Days and Hours:
- Up to 4 days a week (flexible schedule).
- Available shifts: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM, or full-day shifts.
- No weekend work required, but additional shifts may be available.
